Freeing #BlackTwitter is looking like an industry now. I just know someone is writing a book and having coffee with an agent. That person may or may not be Black.
I wish we had so much concern over the Black people still imprisoned for selling weed in states that now have White-owned dispensaries.
Both are still making White men a lot of money, but one group is making a choice like everyone else.
Coincidentally (I didn't know this was coming, honest!), a big article was published just today claiming that the motivation to exercise depends on the microbiome of the gut (in mice).
The gist is that certain microbiomes produce chemicals that prevent the breakdown of dopamine in the brain during exercise. And when that happens, mice tend to be more active. Following antibiotics, these effects disappear. But they are restored again once the microbiome is restored.
The potential of this finding, if true: “If we can confirm the presence of a similar pathway in humans, it could offer an effective way to boost people’s levels of exercise to improve public health generally.”

This morning I should be preparing for class but instead I am playing with engineering problems in chat.openai.com make me stop!!! So far it has failed my engineering problems, students doing homework better stay away!!! #PurposefulProfessor #EngineeringProfessor #CHATGPT #BlackTwitter #BlackTech #BlackMastodon #blackFediverse #BlackWomenTech #NoireSTEMinist #BlackInEngineering #BlackInRobotics
I have a background in disaster preparedness communication and would like the vocal ethics police on this app who keep insisting the “only” ethical course of action is to leave Twitter now to explain how Mastodon currently enables people living in the Gulf South today to get real-time warnings and information about the ongoing tornado outbreak on par with Twitter. They need this information now, so “let’s build something better” is a dodge. #LAwx #MsWx #Wx #BlackTwitter #BlackMastodon

This juvenile robin was busy looking for food that had fallen from the bird feeder, I love the big two footed jump he did just at the right moment. #Birds #BirdsOfMastodon #Nature #NaturePhotography #WildlifePhotography #Wildlife #Photography #Robin #AltText

When I’ve given Chat GPT a complex coding problem to solve, then it can mess up the details, but when I have a clear algorithm in mind and I want it implemented in a specific language, then it has done a decent job with the tedious parts.
It also can make incremental changes to the algorithm.
So maybe, if this stays free, computer science teachers can start teaching algorithms instead of teaching how to code in specific programming languages?
Although quite common, these tiny songsters with black cap and white cheeks are so cute, curious and quite acrobatic at times. This shy little #BlackCappedChickadee perched on a small tree branch in the cold in winter was quite aware of me being so close but they are quite trusting.

So far the United Federation of Isntances consists of 2.5% of the entire #Fediverse... We havent even officially launched yet! So exciting.
OpenAI's question-answering bot, #ChatGPT, isn't smart enough for the team at Stack Overflow, who today announced a temporary ban on answers generated by the #AI bot because of how frequently it's wrong.

@adereth nice job! I just started this evening and I’m now ready for day 6… using java since that’s what I’m teaching this semester.
@drcaberry maybe if you think of it as an egg drop experiment? The ball is the egg, the offense are protecting the egg, and the defense are hungry brunchers who want to make an omelette.
