New video!
A Day Working From the iPad
https://youtu.be/arWCu2X5xUo
This is the video I teased before WWDC! Kind of different from my normal videos but it was a lot of fun to make.
@ChanceHMiller iPad Pro!
No random open source application, I do not want to join your Discord channel for support.
There's this really cool technology called hypertext markup language, and if you use it for your documentation another piece of amazing technology called a search engine can help me find the answer I'm looking for
And the real magic is you only have to answer it once and the answer helps anyone. You don't have to answer the same question every day. This frees you up for more fun development
As we wind down another year of WWDC I want to take a moment to thank all the folks who made this week possible. The engineers, designers, evangelists and staff who have clearly worked tirelessly to consider and enhance every detail of this week.
It has felt like a WWDC from years gone by in the best possible ways, like the community was able to get back together properly and celebrate making great apps.
Thank you!
Interesting. From someone who knows what they are doing - Jef Gibbons.
Logic Pro + iPad=❤️ It's the closest thing to perfect so far!
Reddit CEO sure comes across as a lying weasel.

@christianselig Apollo is one of the best app on my phone; really love the craftsmanship you've brought to the platform. Thank you.
I've been working from my iPad Pro hooked to the Studio Display running iPadOS 17 for the past few hours. I gotta say, it feels good to be back in this setup.
However, there are a few workflows I've built for Mac that I can't replicate on iPad. I'll have to experiment and see if I can create efficient systems on iPadOS 17. It's been a while since I've been iPad only, so there's more here than before, so it should be doable.
But is doable good enough? I'll poke around and see what happens. Might stick with the MacBook Pro for work at least through beta season, but iPadOS 17 is promising.
Need to figure out a photo workflow and a couple other things. I'll have to podcast from a Mac though, sadly. Still not possible on iPad, except maybe through a client like Riverside? I'll have to check.
Apollo will close down on June 30th. Reddit’s recent decisions and actions have unfortunately made it impossible for Apollo to continue. Thank you so, so much for all the support over the years. ❤️ https://www.reddit.com/r/apolloapp/comments/144f6xm/apollo_will_close_down_on_june_30th_reddits/
Up tomorrow is Observation! It includes the parts of the design that interoperate with SwiftUI - the way it works makes the easiest code the right code. https://developer.apple.com/videos/play/wwdc2023/10149/
@rmondello Thank you! This is so awesome.
@BickyBhullar I’m very excited about this app. Can you share if this will be available on iPad?
Yes, you heard that right! iOS 17 and macOS Sonoma add support for sharing passwords and passkeys in groups with friends and family.
- share passkeys, passwords, verification codes, and notes
- edits and updates seamlessly sync between group members
- end-to-end encrypted
- share with family, friends, and other close contacts
- the password manager that’s built in to iPhone, iPad, and Mac is free to use and easy to switch to :)
@chockenberry Same. It’s really amazing to see what they’ve done, but I don’t see how it fits into my day-to-day life and I have pretty much every other product they sell.
Regardless of what gets announced today, thank you to the many thousands of Apple employees who are making it happen behind the scenes. Just because you don't see them, or know all their names, still remember they are people when you are firing off your hot takes.
(this post aimed towards myself)
@dennyhenke Great post. I agree that it seems that the future is even brighter for the iPad. FCP and LP are major apps that required a lot of work and commitment from Apple. That they chose to create a very “iPad-centric” way of interacting with these apps speaks volumes to the future of the platform, I think. They are clearly pushing it forward, which is great for all of us iPad users.
A few thoughts on the iPad Pro, recently released "pro" apps, possible future pro apps, future hardware and iPadOS 17. While nothing is a given it seems the future of the #iPad Pro is increasing capability (as an iPad not a mac) and is something Apple is investing in. Also, a few brief thoughts on the rumored headset as Apple's idea of personal entertainment in the home.

Left the rat race at Microsoft for traveling, writing, photography, a little coding, and whatever else seems interesting.
