@radundtat @fj @temptoetiam SBB is a very capable company. So I am sure they do, yes. My assumption would be is they allowed this on just a few hundred metres of line to then show it doesn't work!

According to the article they have already a cleaning solution: A special train with "cylindrical brushes".
This project will run for three years to evaluate it's potential for the other 5000 km of railway tracks in Switzerland, they say.
