Electronics manufacturers, small or big, need to stop two things yesterday, failing that immediately:
* Selling or even making USB cables with VDD and GND only. This is particularly annoying with old USB1 style wiring because it saves virtually nothing.
* Selling gadgets with USB-C connectors like they were USB-A connectors. Check the rules for 5V USB-C and add that one resistor or I'll call you cheap and incompetent. You know what: if your gadget comes with a USB-A to USB-C cable, I almost certainly know what to call you.
