'Using several high-throughput sequencing approaches, we show that the H/ACA complex is recruited to actively transcribed genes genome-wide, where it performs mRNA pseudouridylation. Moreover, we demonstrate that this modification reduces the rate of mRNA translation and that loss of dyskerin-mediated pseudouridylation results in global elevation of protein synthesis.'
