So sophisticated and complex. So skillful and ... perfect.

We can wonder at these scraps of their artwork but I doubt we fully understand what they once meant. And then there is all that's been lost to time. It's like all that remains of a great painter is a scrap from one of their canvasses. Or all that is left from a video game are a few of the sprites...
