#OTD 26 June 1925 Jean Frydman was born. A French Jew, he became active in the Resistance & even escaped a deportation train to Buchenwald. He was a peace advocate who helped negotiated the Oslo Peace Accords 1993 between Israel & Palestine. He died in 2021 at the age of 95.

My opinion is that the original paper is flawed and should be retracted, but now @eLife readers can hear from both sides and decide for themselves.
