Drove a friend’s car and went past an automated toll, then next day received a scam text trying to get me to pay the toll or face a fine. Passenger did too. Very common scam i hear. Searches suggests that no one has access to the video feeds or that an image detection could’ve picked us out, but then how could it know that we are the ones borrowing the car and driving thru the toll?

it’s very common so perhaps it’s just coincidental timing but that might be missing the data source of the scam.

@hyperjeff Yeah, I get these scam texts more often than I drive through tolls.
