Reading this from Ecological Complexity: “The adaptive cycle: More than a metaphor” and wondering if you have favorite *non-metaphorical* perspectives on measuring adaptive capacity in organizations and networks?

@christina I'm not sure if with non-methaphorical, you meant empric, and I don't know of their works would qualify, but I've just enjoyed working through the recent work of David Ing on coevolving.com/

@yala David was a frequent face in the Digital Life Collective! ❤️

Great reminder - I'll see what I can find over there.

@christina I've excerpted one particular piece recently:

forage.jon.federated.wiki/view

The other waiting for excerption (?) is forage.jon.federated.wiki/view

The latest works on the Ying-Yang meshworks is a bit too advanced for me and probably needs a bit more time to settle on a more conventional description. When working through e.g. the slides in the Coevolving Common, you will recognise how some of the slides are being reused throughout the years.

You also find @daviding around the corner here for qs

Nice to hear that you're still open to the ideas on Systems Changes, @yala @christina

There's been a lot published in 2023, that is more targeted at philosophical and theoretical foundations. We have an Explainers subgroup trying to make the content more understandable.

@daviding

There's already more publications in 2024 than in 2023! Good strike.

Let me see how much of it I can progress through my non-native speaker brain.

Are there already German translations in the works for some of these publications, or might this end up in a book which could be translated?
