With his "libertarian" stance (YMMV), #Milei is raising the spectre of Brasil under Bolsonaro, whilst for others who are angry at the corruption and inaction of recent "Kirchnerist" governments, #Massa doesn't inspire much confidence in menaingful change.

Ok, nothing conclusive yet, both sides claiming victory. Looking at midnight (UTC) before anything announced. Just been an announcement that 76% of the electorate have cast their vote, and some stations are still working through the queue.
Massa's camp holding a short press conference, thanking the officials and focusing on the importance of the electoral process. It's only been 40 years since the country held its first democractic elections.
The other aspect of this 40 year anniversary is that Milei's running mate is the daughter of one of the generals of the Junta. She dismisses the the torture, killing and disappearances of 30,000 or more during the "Dirty War". These were "justified" because the victims were terrorists, she claims. It's a deep wound in Argentina's society which is not going to be healed by such stances.
