High level observation from running Eurovision Drinking Game on Mastodon and Bluesky last night: Bluesky gets way more interaction and I absolutely *cannot* tell if that’s a more active audience or something to do with the distributed nature of Mastodon. I could see the fanout of the posts happening pretty instantly but once it’s left my server … *crickets*. That post is then duped to Bluesky and gets five likes within seconds.

@norm There's still something not quite right about it from that perspective. I'm lless bothered about the likes, happy that I get some really interesting content and zero spam and seal lions.

@davoloid Oh I’m not saying Bluesky great Mastodon bad, it’s just for a realtime event getting little to no feedback does not encourage the effort of doing it. Very niche, obviously.

@norm Yeah, I found the same last year. Slightly baffling, not sure what the cause is. What's the *quality* of interaction like on BS?
