Xmas recommendation for someone who has #anxiety issues*. A diary where you can log your worry, list some actions and then come back to it another time. Plus some nice little #mindfulness tips
*My teen is not ready to engage with this sort of mental health habit, sadly.
Neighbourhood meeting fracas.
Not surprised that a local meeting to discuss a proposed road closure scheme descended into chaos, Police called, fire alarm pulled, meeting cancelled on Police advice. Despite disruption of previous schemes, lack of evidence of effectiveness the council did not read the room.
People were already angry that for 30 years traffic has been displaced from affluent areas onto peripheral streets, so this was never going to be received as an "early consultation", especially when people most directly impacted by the scheme were not notified.
Opening with "well disabled people might have to get out of their cars" is also never a good opener.
As one old dear said to me "How much is this costing? There are people struggling because of cuts and this is just a waste."
Well, after seeing the continuing collapse of birdsite thanks to Elmu and backers, it was time to #deletetwitter.
I've downloaded my archive (since January 2008!), cleared out old tweets and said goodbye.
Just another worried little citizen of this modern-day Pompeii. Techie at UCL, working on Process Automation with MS Power Platform. Scatterbrain, interested in education, languages, Space and lots of disparate things. sorry.
Keeping my space toots at @astrodad as an experiment in self-moderation :)
