Seeing as we're talking about undoing #Brexit again, a reminder that the UK has never been a nation-state, and our constituent nations *gained* sovereignty under the EU.

There has been a ton of insane footage I have seen of the war in Ukraine conflict. This one features a soldier riding an electric unicycle covered in camoflage fabric, with a 360 degree camera attached to his rifle. He shoots and reloads whilst moving on the device.
(safe for work, only see the rifle being fired, no combat sounds either, just annoying music.)

Fancy an interesting #Football management game? A new season of retro multiplayer #Hattrick is starting soon. Huge international community and a sophisticated game and #economics engine.

Evening out at the #CSM Central Saint Martin's Degree Show opening. An inspirational must-see for anyone in #London over the next few days. The whole university at Kings Cross opens up to become a massive exhibition space. Furniture, Product Design, Fine Art, Animation, Material Futures, Graphic Communication Design and more.
Will post some highlights later.
Here's an interesting 2016 report from the US Army Corps of Engineers (the organisation that attempts to control the Mississippi River) on the Dnipro, including assessment of the state of #Khakova Dam and other elements of water management and river navigation.
With the old folks and the kiddos doing #Histodon Tourist #London.
Stopped at the crèche of the SAS, the St Ermin Hotel, where the division bell used to ring to give MP's 8 minutes to get back to Parliament via a secret tunnel. The concierge kindly allowed us to have a peek behind a hidden door. And a very reasonably priced coffee with a lovely clove fragranced oat cookie.
Quick look into the magnificent Byzantine styled Westminster Cathedral. Boat trip up the Thames to Greenwich, another hidden gem in the Chapel at the Royal Naval College.
Then under the Thames and back home via DLR.
Great to see last year's winner Cornelia Jakobs back in the covers section. #Eurovision
I saw her in Rock City in 1995 with the Cardigans.
Those of you spods from the #mono diaspora*, you'll be pleased to know that Bluemeat's legendary #Eurovision score chart is updated for tonight for the Mono.org jury.
There must be more than 4 of us, right?
FFS council caretaker has chopped down some lovely hollyhocks that were just starting to come up. We'd sown them in a crappy corner of the estate that was covered in weeds. We obtained some wood chips, someone else planted a little tree in the middle too. Looked much better last year as these street view pics show.
Have the caretakers got rid of the weeds round the bins? Of course they haven't.

Tried to take some interesting snaps of the #LondonMarathon. Was aiming to get some interesting blurring effects with moving feet, but am out of the habit of this sort of creative muckaboutery and it's a tiny point & shoot camera, nothing proper.
When my kiddo was tiny, I found a CD of Peter and the Wolf, narrated by #DameEdna. Here it is on Spotify for you to enjoy, possums.

Yeah, this is amazing sustainable design.
Cross section of a sustainable house.
Various pathways show flow of rainwater, stale and fresh air, domestic hot water.
A list on the right shows the function of each element.
MAX FORDHAM HOUSE
Rainwater drainage;
R1 Rainwater is attenuated in green roof and in planters
R2: Rainwater is absorbed into porous material on blue roof R3: Rainwater is drained to lower roof and patio at a controlled rate
R4: Rainwater is absorbed into porous attenuation volume beneath
patio before being drained away slowly.
Water supply
$1 1st stage air source heatpump is located within the sun on a south facing terrace. Heatpump operates for an hour each afternoon, when the air is warmest
$2: Hot refrigerant gas is pumped to 2nd stage heatpump 53: Second stage heatpump within building heats one day's supply
of domestic hot water 54: Domestic hot water is distributed radially to showers
HVAC
U1: Cold, fresh air brought into building from beneath car undercroft U2: Heat is recovered from stale, moist exhaust air at MVHR unit
U3: Fresh, tempered air is supplied silently to inhabited rooms at high speed through 3D printed jet nozzles
U4: Warm moist air is extracted from kitchens and bathrooms US: Cold moist stale air is exhausted at high speed U6: Recirculating cooker hood extracts smells but not heat from cooking
Envelope:
PI: A well-insulated envelope completely wraps the building's
structure, with airtightness and moisture windnightness layers incorporated
P2: Insulated, actuated window shutters close at night, reducing heat loss through windows
P3: Windows can open fully to ventilate heat away in warm weather
P4: Thermally massive building structure allows better use of Incidental heat gain in the winter and absorbs excess daytime heat
during warm weather Windows orientated and positioned to optimise daylight
Renewable energy
VI Upper roof is fully utilised for photovoltaic electricity generation. PVs generate almost all of house's energy
