Seeing as we're talking about undoing again, a reminder that the UK has never been a nation-state, and our constituent nations *gained* sovereignty under the EU.

This looks awesome. "I'm a Virgo" is by Boots Riley, the guy who did the brilliant "Sorry To Bother You" (and a long history of activism and music before that). youtu.be/PSyKhFwEo7c

There has been a ton of insane footage I have seen of the war in Ukraine conflict. This one features a soldier riding an electric unicycle covered in camoflage fabric, with a 360 degree camera attached to his rifle. He shoots and reloads whilst moving on the device.

(safe for work, only see the rifle being fired, no combat sounds either, just annoying music.)

President Carter, now in his last days, home to be with his family as he passes, once personally saved Ottawa from a Nuclear Disaster, at risk, and cost, to his life, suffering from radiation poisoning all his life.

Canada had a Nuclear Accident in the 50s, asked the US for help, Lieutenant Jimmy Carter lead a team out of NY.

The future President Carter, had his team lower him into the reactor.

I had no idea

I have no idea why this isn't widely known.

Won't somebody spare a thought for poor @CountBinface, who now has to rethink his campaign strategy or whether his work here on Earth is complete.

The thing that you *really* need to know about sticking stuff on YouTube, or Facebook, or Twitter or anywhere is that you cannot beat the algorithm and you never will understand it.

Anyone who tells you otherwise is lying.

Did a stupid YouTube short with a silly punchline and it has double the views of the 13 minute bit I spent time writing.

No idea why, or what or how. Never will.

Black Mirror: topical and perfect as ever, terrifying and hilarious at the same time. 1st episode S6 is Stranger Than Fiction x Inception x The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent

Couple of Easter eggs, self-deprecating digs at Netflix, and the Black Mirror writers and viewers themselves.

Massive fusion experiment ITER is in big financial trouble (again).

But I do wish articles like this, rather than ‘IT WILL NOW COST BILLIONS MORE!!!!’ would instead say ‘ITER may now cost as much as 5% of the ANNUAL investment in oil and gas exploration’. scientificamerican.com/article

"What makes you proud of Russia today?" - passers-by in Russia were asked.

Their reactions were telling.

While Virgin Galactic promotes access to the Overview Effect as a major benefit, it is a terrible irony that space tourism is enormously damaging for the environment.

Environmental epiphanies can be accessed for free in mundane locations – such as reading a book at home.

Being launched into space – and the massive pollution the process creates – isn’t necessary for us to want to sustain our Earth.

This line that international train tickets are too expensive is often repeated

*But* if the trains on a line are full already then arguing about price is not going to get you far

Reduce ticket costs of ÖBB's Nightjets or Thalys Paris-Bruxelles? Sure, you get *different* people travelling, but not MORE people travelling - because the trains are full anyway

You have to find ways *to increase capacity* before you can realistically bring ticket prices down

Remember, the EU would have let delay #brexit to deal with the pandemic.

The Tories chose to let people die to get heir BREXIT, which has now spectacularly failed. They deserve prison.

Will post some highlights later.

Came across this the other day, absolutely entrancing version of Crack-Up, with an Icelandic choir and a very smooth camera operator.
Also on music streaming services.

The Heatherwick/Johnson routemasterbuses are awful furnaces on a warm day like today. Few windows so no breeze. It’s time to rethink ventilation, esp passive approaches because air con fails and only adds energy consumption.
