Whenever I'm tempted to think that a new thing seems too complicated, I read newspaper articles about pizza from the early 1950s.

@paulisci @jjhysell lol. My mom was a child in 1950s Iowa! I saw an old newspaper clipping once with a recipe for pizza that called for biscuit dough and baked beans. 🤢

@paulisci @jjhysell please do, i just did some googling but couldn’t find that old recipe — though i see that beans on pizza are a thing. Apparently. Takes all kinds, I guess.

@Kayray @paulisci @jjhysell Here in New Zealand, baked beans on pizza is definitely a thing, also spaghetti on pizza (with pineapple, if you are former Prime Minister Bill English)
