I'm writing on a talk about using OpenSSH in industrial environments, and there is a slide that says: Where do you know SSH from?

My question is, where do YOU know OpenSSH from?

Answers appreciated :)

@dbread I learned ssh from hpux and openssh from Linux. I have no idea what your talk is about, but maybe you could promote ssh certificates a bit. These much better to handle than standard public key mechanisms and provide more sophisicated access mechanisms. See e.g.: goteleport.com/blog/how-to-ssh

@azouhr thanks for the input! I've heard about SSH with certificates, but never used that. But that is the opportunity for me to look into it 😀 🧐

@azouhr I find it interesting that they use a 4096 bit RSA key for the example. In an article which was created in 2022.

I dug into it and found a slide that says, calculating the private key from the public key can be easily bought. But for 4096 it is quite expensive :O
