It seems we're finally going to buy a car for the family as we're going to move as soon as possible to a country side house in Basque Country, where the whole option for public transportation is "one bus from/to a nearby town every 2 hours".

So, almost everyone that doesn't own an electric car is telling us how wrong we're because we want to buy an electric car. However, everyone that already has an electric car tells us the opposite.

I still don't really understand why so many people (that doesn't own an electric car) is against buying electric cars.

@joxean i have one reason for you, all those computers, cloud-connectedness and proprietary maintenance vendor-lockin in those electric cars is making the otherwise very intersting technology super toxic for me, longing to buy only cars built before 1990, especially in the soviet block (those were super easy to maintain with a hammer and a blowtorch)

i wish there would be libre-cars, where you have total control over them within regulatory safety limits.

@stf @joxean

The hammer now is the build pipeline.

The blowtorch now is the 3 level docker container dev env.

Easy-peasy
