@dclr42 Yes. Best / Top example I think is #IRC - I've seen DJs / Coders / Gamers use it for people to shout out or leave messages.

It's possible to make an instant IRC chatroom and needs very little of anyone's resources / tech.

@dclr42 Never really went away. Just not pumped or used by mainstream.., and many other good things as variety came along too...
