I'm currently reading The Art of the Deal by Donald Trump (written in 1987). I came across the following paragraph and thought how appropriate considering his recent administration.

@SmilingTexan a pretty bad take imho.
It's true that everyone are entitled to their own act and opinion but don't let that fact distracts you that "we live in a society which would criticized you for everything you would do".
And saying "some people" are loser just because they're criticizing you is kinda narcisistic isn't it?

@deesapoetra IF they have or are doing something constructive and criticizing you, then yes that would be narcissistic, otherwise it's fairly accurate to call it out.

@deesapoetra it's also the "when you become successful" part, it definitely brings out the jealousy and envy in others

It's true most of the time, But not always.
Some people just want to see you "Come on! do better!" "We know you can!"

and taking side which points to you thinking that people are always hostile, wanna bring you down and people just loser for criticizing your act.
It's pretty much the definition of narcisistic.
