My son now rides a cool new electric bus to school. And he told me it has lots more surveillance cameras in it. Disturbing that they are there and disturbing that they may well be needed in this day and age.

@JimDMac as a 90s/early 2000s kid we at least had the threat of a security camera although I don’t think they actually worked. In general I’m wary of surveillance but have cameras on the way to/at a school is hard to say no to as a parent.

@derickflorian @JimDMac Lol. In the 90s my buddy's Mom drove the bus for the route of everyone out of town proper...

She gave no fucks. Ware to those who caused enough chaos to have the bus stopped. She didn't need no stinking cameras, she had eyes in the back of her head. And when it stopped, those responsible for the disruption got called out with a full dress-down talking to in front of everyone.
