How long you predict there will be majority of petrol/ diesel cars on indian roads?
Thanks for your responses! So our Mastodons/Mastikhors/Mast Kalandars/ QoTodiens (What is it to be called?) predicts other alternatives to Gasoline Car like EV won't be overtaking in numbers for 20 years in India. Interesting.

@purna yes, it's a huge change and there is so much capital already invested in existing vehicles. With a milder climate like many parts of India, I imagine existing vehicles will be around for a long time. As long as fuel is a available.
Longer term, maybe fuel cells might be a better solution than batteries for vehicle use, but they depend on a supply network all over the country to refuel.
