Portuguese supermarket shelf. Notice the big range of pricing available, starting at just over Euro 1.5 or so.
Costs here in Canada are three times these, typically. 9 euros for a bottle of locally produced varietals.
The wineries all have monster Chateau kind of buildings; clearly overpriced and it shows in their ostentation.

For the record, there's nothing wrong with these lower priced Reds, they are honest Table wine.
