When I was a kid, Kiss and Marvel was the exemplar for what New York was about to me.
Just dudes in crazy costumes going around doing things.
I was very let down on my first visit to NYC.

@thegibson Don't like the place either. SF on the other hand, is nice. Getting expensive, but a pretty town to live in.

Oh, as an adult I found that I loved NYC. It was weird how you could just slide into the city and be part of it almost anonymously.
Felt really nice.
SF is large enough you get the same thing really... I like them both.
