That was quick, Well done, guys.

Not frequent to find the door open like that. :blobcheer:

@Miredly

HT has manuy nice features, one of them being Glitch-Soc instance software. Has features the other ones still don't, I like it.

Server is very fast too.

And good people, or else all the rest wouldn't be so important.

@rgx I'm definitely interested in seeing how glitch-soc differs from mainline masto. I was surprised by the default setup when I first logged in, it looked almost like Pleroma.

@Miredly There's quite a few nice added features. TG has 10K chars max toot, which I like, can be done in regular masto.

But glitch-soc allows a TRULY local, Non-federated feed. Posts that are for the instance only.

See screnshot --v

@Miredly And the Wicked App Settings panel, a lot of extra controls. From the Right Side "App Settings" menu.

@rgx Very cool- my primary reason for wanting an account here is the local h.t culture. My other account is very broadly federated, but there isn't really an instance community. I think @thegibson was a day1 follow for me on my other account, so h.t has been on my radar for a long time.

@Miredly

I hear you, I am here for the same reason. My other account is higher profile, I post a lot and soon should be a staff member at my instance there.

But it's nice to have a less exposed account and do research without leaving prints all over the place.

And the people here, there's a lot of knowledge to listen to, had some nice talks in some threads.

it's good to visit and be a member of different communities, if they interest you. There are many to chose from, and a good client like Pinafore can easily switch instances almost instantly.
