And a modern GlitchSocial instance has added features compared to the vanillla Mastodon ones.

As for the story about the name. It's a semi-obscure Japanese word for "Overloaded". It comes from an old series of Mario ROM hacks I made decades ago. At the time I was able to get kafuka.org It kind of stuck and I've used it as my not-for-profit/projects name since! (.me was chosen as the TLD for the instances because kafuka and me sound funny when spoken outload! ) 
@emuz I was really curious about the name. It seemed similar to some funny English words.

Sorry for the little joke, it's good to know the origin of the name, and that is not a collapsed funny one like this above.
I like your choice of GlitchSocial, it's a nice platform, I enjoy it in a couple other instances where I have accounts.
I would suggest you could promote the awesome support of Rich Text options in GS -- #MarkDown and #BBcode right off the box, fully supported.
For someone in #Publishing, that is Great -- and I do use it to prepare my Blog Release posts with some of the possible touches MD enables. Header size, bold and italic; quote blocks, code tag with pretty contrasting text.

#glitchsocial is the Future. Right now, here, and looks and feels like the vanilla ones.
But -- it adds pizzazz and a more open project, development than main stream #mastodon .
A LOT of good ideas, already implemented. You could also consider https://koyu.space/ , another GS instance and quite nice.
For an average mastodon user, transition is painless. For the ones that care to discover the Extras, it's SO much nicer.
Waiting for Eugen to bless rich text, #Markdown? Already in use, at GS and #Pleroma everywhere.

I don't often leverage the Rich text aspect as it didn't seem like many found it useful.. but I'll be sure to do so in the future. It's a real gem of the system and I've used it to help create clear, concise messaging for updates.
