Btw, this part of the article reminded me of the reason of why I started to feel interest in learning programming seriously. Somehow I still find myself resistive to the idea of diving into Computer Science... but I've finally decided that I'm gonna take it seriously ... I guess I should have before since I was looking for a job in the area... but that's just fine, better later than never xD ... anyway, someone told me once that while reading some papers he could not do but wonder how the shitty code in there even worked... that still causes me nightmares haha .. imagine you wrote your article and in the other side of the world someone wonders how the hell your code even works 🤣🤣💔 mmm tomorrow gonna check this code.. hopefully it'll be great haha
Ok I just read this amazing paper 🖤 basically the data collected over two decades with a considerable big sample size is consistent to the cosmological dependence as this represents -I quote- "further evidence that we inhabit an expanding relativistic universe. The math is basically Bayesian approach, Markov Chain and Monte Carlo. The authors attributed the prior lack of evidence to small sample sizes, as I understood. Check this out 🖤 I got the impression that this article is going to get far... It is now on Nature too.
Pd. I told my mom after watching this stupid video telling that JWST recent observations disprooves the big bang theory and went as far as denying the expanding universe, that what we perceive as 'time' is only possible due to the universe being in expansion... I still feel like I'm wrong and honestly just wanted to win the debate xD haha however I told so because I do believe that and that is somehow obvious, and that if mistaken, I'll be told otherwise when I advance my beautiful but hard af carreer .. any discussions on the topic are welcome.

Well... as a physics student who's in the beginning or her carreer and currently in pause I thought this was common knowledge in the field and I thought I surely was going to be told so later ._. isn't it kinda obvious if time and space are instrinsecally related? 😐 I'm happy as f*ck that this basically confirms that idea 🤩🤩🤩

I don't think you need to be in infosec to find this tool tremendously useful! go ahead, check it out :3
Awwwww 😍 such a cute design!
I sometimes regret leaving Twitter ... but most of the time I don't xD
F*ck that childish assh0l*.

The dangerous reality in any democracy is that the end result of apathy or ignorance is exactly the same as unlimited tolerance. If you do nothing while bad actors work to destroy your democracy—no matter how perfectly designed or implemented—then eventually enough checks and balances will be circumvented and you’ll wake up to find you’re living in a fascist, authoritarian, oligarchic state.
Excusing the people of Texas by observing that gerrymanders, suppression and corrupt judiciary make it very hard NOW to alter the situation conveniently ignores the slow but reversible erosion that led up to the current situation.
Fascists rely on and encourage apathy and ignorance, not good will and tolerance, and the only remedy is active resistance.
Otherwise they’ll always win.
Soooo.... Youtube has somehow recommended me some channels and videos from far-right media and personalities and it caught my attention how apparently for this movement left = evil. I decided I wanted to understand why. I advocate for LGBTI+ rights and fight against racism so the question came: "how can make you care about others and having the willingness to give up some Individual freedoms for a greater good, evil? I actually fail to see why someone would find 'evil' a person who loves someone of the same sex. By navigating through this content I think I partially found the answer.
You see, apparently for some christian extremists the battle between good and evil isn't in the earth itself, but within us and our human nature, according to the bible. Our human nature dictates that we all feel sexual pleasure and look after it, but if you want to be a good person you must find a way to supress the desire and follow god's path which is staying virgin until marriage. That view, to me, explains why the far right sees homosexual people as degenerate evil people. It seems that for them homosexual people cannot and have no intention to fight this battle of supressing their human nature and be 'good', thus, are against god and his will.
I have three problems with such view tho:
1) Apparently we all have different spiritual battles, since this battle is not the same for the white straight male than for a lesbian. Basically they want some people to make an extra effort to fit their concept of good.
2) That concept of good. Why is 'evil' to accept our humanity to begin with? what's the LOGIC behind? I mean, just because a 2000-year-old book tells so I am supposed to accept that concept of 'good'? ... no way. For me is quite simple. If you hurt someone or put someone in a bad situation for your sole interests, then you're being evil. I'd like to deepen that view tho.
3) Since rarely someone comes virgin to their marriage, it means you haven't been able, as christian, to fight your own human nature, which would make you evil... not to mention all the sins according to the bible; so who are you to ask someone to achieve something you couldn't?
I think I still have a lot to learn about this interesting wicked world, but for now, those are my conclusions.
I still find it interesting how senior programmers value readability and clean code over the easy way ♥. They also create solutions that might be "the harder way" but the best ones, covering each scenario!
"<<" is a bitwise operator (bit shift) and pushes zeros from the left. So "x<<1" would mean pushing a zero from left to binary number x: 13<<1 => 00001101 -> 00011010 = 26.
Clean code tells a lot about a programmer and even though at the beginnind I didn't want to become an expert in this area, I want to now (still a long waaayy tho!). Thanks for that teaching, you. I've learned more than what I could show in that short period and I still value and remember that.
