Does anyone use a desktop Mastodon client on #Linux?
I'm trying #Whalebird. It has a couple nice features: keyboard navigation mainly (though even that's a bit clunky), and multi-account management. But it feels quite heavy - #Electron to blame maybe - and is pretty limited in customization options.
@subramani
Visually #tootle looks beautiful, a very well put-together design.
Seems like there's no keyboard navigation though? Not even to the browser level of page-down or arrow keys.
I can see myself using it for an image-focused account, for eg. to follow #pixelfed posts. Mouse-only interaction will be fine for that, and the aesthetic of the program will enhance the visual experience.
@digital_carver What you said is true. Not a keyboard-friendly client. As well doesn't look like frequently updated. I don't know if it is catching up with new feature sets.
