Trying to figure out why I'm not posting here as often as I thought I'd want to, and I'm starting to think the reason is most of what I'm seeing is talking about Mastodon, which is kind of exhausting.
(Yes, I know I'm contributing to the problem here. And maybe this means I need to follow different people here. But it's not just one or two people.)
@wickedgood If you post on here about #Hearthstone or #MarvelSnap that should start those conversations, otherwise migration is the primary topic because reasons
@irishoutsider I don't play Snap, and I've followed the Hearthstone hashtag for a while, it's crickets
@wickedgood I havent been on it because im taking a mini break from #Hearthstone, so I don't know who's over here so far. I hope you keep at it because I like your takes
@irishoutsider I posted a stream announcement last week and the only engagement I got was someone who said they don't play Hearthstone because they only play paper card games
I think adding a few more general hashtags like ccg, cardgames, etc. could help a little.
But tbh I think people just haven't settled down enough yet to search for and follow fun/entertainment hashtags like this, most are still getting used to hashtag searches and are using them for "serious" topics of interest as of now. It'll take some time for people to relax and start looking for their entertainment interests here. (That's my theory anyway.)
