Often, when we discuss prominent folks long gone and their shortcomings, we are reminded not to judge them too harshly, because they were products of their times.

What current perfectly legit behaviours do you think people of, say, 100 years in the future will look back on and remind themselves that we were creatures of our times?

Eating the products of factory farming. We willingly have our blinders on about it, make arbitrary distinctions about suffering (eg. dog vs pig), and engage in a lot of doublethink around the whole thing.

People in the future (esp. if they have factory-grown meat or other protein source) won't be as willing to take part in those mental gymnastics.
