I'm not against abortions or "illegal" gun ownership. People would do abortions or adquire guns even if illegal.
Now, using tax payer money to fund abortions is NOT acceptable. Using taxes to fix others mistakes is a waste. People must be responsible for their debauchery.

@waltercool @Wearenotcattle well, unplanned pregnancy is one of the things leading into being poor. And (I think) pills are cheap enough so you can give them indiscriminately, without any procedure whatsoever, rape or no rape. I expect them to be cheaper than having to deal with adding more people to the poor (and crime, and waves of nasty stuff that's coming with it).
At my country, you can get one free condom (male) or pill (female) at every hospital if you are covered with social security, otherwise you must buy it.

If you want to create an exception for rape, then everyone who wants abortion would try to make a false claim of rape.
How would you prove the rape? Cameras, police investigation or medical examination same day. If that’s the case, just take a morning after pill.
What if that person had psychological trauma and hid everything for weeks/months? The whole scenario would get confusing and hard to prove, lot of real cases might fail and lot of false cases might succeed.
Still, people should be able to make abortions freely, just not with everyone else money. If the government is already stealing me, at least use that money for roads or help poor people get out from that condition.
