Whoever over at #Microsoft created #Powershell, sure paid a lot of attention to #haskell. Maybe mr. Peyton Jones had a hand in architecting the #devops language?

I looked up the history of Powershell: it is not immediately apparent whether SPJ influenced its architecture. Wikipedia alledges it's based on Kornshell, with o.o. added in, and inspired by python, perl, and php.
The way functions have a separate closure for pipeline processing differs quite a bit from haskell.
