@andymoose write some aeson parsers...

Or don't. I hate operator soup too and strongly prefer readable names and plain argument application.

@amiloradovsky All in all, you're just golden brick in the wall 🤑

@amiloradovsky biodegradable plastic usually means some rapidly crumbling shit that turns into microplastic dust faster than usual.

@amiloradovsky Another gem of an advice:

> If you want to make a paid service, start by implementing payments first. Otherwise, you'll end up with a solution missing a mission-critical part.

@amiloradovsky real estate as a money parking is out of fashion. Billies are buying farmland and renting it out.

@boilingsteam > “Being candid, we have a few places to grow,”

The things that count for "candid" those days...

People were screaming bloody murder when trying to get on the ROCm platform and being welcomed with bugs and deficiencies. And candid (not) borderline gaslighting.

They need to step their fucking game up and get to the business end of things if they want to ever get some of the Nvidia traction. Just take a look at nvda stock, then look each other on the eye and candidly say "we're fucked up extraordinarily, let's put extraordinary effort to fix things in compute".

And yes, I wouldn't touch a green card with a 2m pole. But I'm a midline gamer, not a frontier researcher.

@rml @alcinnz By the "Betteridge's law of headlines" the answer is NO.

Or, "negligible, compared to orders of magnitude difference to emissions by industrial processes, transportation and "natural" sources".

@reidrac@social.sdf.org Start with a "demake" of a game that caught your eye. Merely a crap-shoot copy just to give yourself a tour on the basic mechanics that may be involved. Take notes. Make it playable. By this time you will have enough of information on what and how *you* would like to do for your own. Finally, ditch the clone or pivot on its codebase.

@abbienormal And, for the love of monads, don't let yourself get distracted with "setting up an IDE" before you actually dig the language. A basic editor would do just fine.

@abbienormal I think an online IDE/REPL would be enough for the book. No need to install anything.

@abbienormal Yes, it works.

The modern way is to install everything with haskell.org/ghcup/

(that is, not from the "stores")
