I am broken today, and the only explanation I have as to why (besides stress, capitalism, surgery recovery, and mental illness…) is that for as long as I can remember I believed “the arc of the moral universe is long, but bends towards justice” and I just don’t think that’s true anymore, if it ever was. I am no longer hopeful at all.

Hi Terra, I'm sorry you feel broken by how the world seems/is. I'm feeling a lot of the same, too. I don't have a lot of answers to offer, but you aren't alone - there really are a lot of us out here that believe in that great arc's righteous bend!
