Thanks for for the link. I'd actually heard this law had been enacted. How useless. #Russian has adopted a lot of words from English, French and a few other languages, some of which have been in use since tsarist times, before the Revolution. The new law certainly won't keep Russian speakers outside of the Kremlin from using foreign loan words.
@edcasabar not only useless, but profoundly xenophobic & yet a banal reflection of contemporary russian culture - just my personal assessment
