Nextcloud Desktop, our file sync client has seen new features recently, including auto-locking of files that are edited offline to avoid conflicts:
The easiest method of trying the file locking feature is to open a file from within the Nextcloud Files web interface via the "Edit locally" menu item of a file. This will use your browser to communicate with the Nextcloud Desktop client to both open and lock the file.

@nextcloud so it doesn't work if I just open from a syncing folder ? If it does, isn't that easier?
