WTAF are Microsoft playing at? This has to be the worst bit of UI design for a while, instead of normal MFA, the Outlook app generates a 2 digit number, but when you’re logging into the outlook app itself, you inexplicably have to type it in (instead of it just knowing it), fine whatever - I guess it reinforces the fact that it’s MFA…
The input prompt sits on top of the number though, so you can’t see it! You press “I can’t see the number” and it hides the dialogue for 3 seconds. Bananas.

Like this is the app that’s displaying the number, just type it for me?! Or at least just put it in a bit of the screen that I can see…

@jph I *think* the top prompt is from the OS (or at least the MS app notification), not from the bottom app.
It's their answer to 2FA spam where eventually, if you are getting hundreds of yes/no prompts eventually the target will mid click and approve when they didn't mean too
