@revk how does power work? I see the docs say USB might power 50 LED. If I connect say a 60 LED strip, do I get nothing, dim, or only the first 50?
Realise might sound simple question but totally new to this

@falken you can shove extra 5V DC on the strip anyway, most have an extra pair for power so you can add at other end.

The two issues are current supply (which if too high causes voltage drop at source as power supply cannot handle it). In which case processor can restart.

And voltage drop over strip, which means you lose initially blue, then green, gradually along the strip.

Depends on how many LEDs you light. I have one that works fine unless you try all white full.

@revk so does that mean a USB face plate to your board to a strip with 100s (eg 5 meters seema to be around 500 LEDs) might (YMMV etc) Just Work?

@falken depends of density for length. 144/m is a lot. I have a Stargate with 507 LEDs on USB, but very much not “all at once”. I have a strip here with 2 ½ strips and 343 LEDs that loses colour if all white but fine for many uses…

@revk found some at 60 per m, ordered 5 meters and your magic box :-)
