@neil @simonzerafa not sure it makes a lot of sense. Obviously not using them in class, other than for something that is part of the class, but schools need to prepare people for real life, of which mobile computers are a part!

My English teachers used to say 'well you're not going to be able to take computers with you' - when I used to do OK at essay writing at home when I could organise my thoughts and write/edit it rather than having to sit in front of a piece of paper. (Ditto with my spelling always being terrible)

@penguin42 @revk @neil @simonzerafa my parents had to sit down with the GCSE English staff and point out, actually, there's very little that has to be hand written, as opposed typed.
Helped Mum was a IT teacher (in different region) so knew the exam board regs inside and out
