@stux Can I ask a rude question? I've been thinking about hosting a server for Mastodon or another federated service, but I'm wondering how much it would cost...?
@Silverrain64 @stux you can run it your self on a Pi (around £100/yr) or pay someone like @beasts to do it for you. YMMV based on user numbers and choice of software eg Mastodon itself vs something lighter weight.
