Right, now Nova Launcher has enshittified?

It is blocking me from using one of my phones with a data sharing dialogue, the sort of one where you have to individually untick "legitimate interest" from a bazillion different third parties.

So that can fuck off.

I totally understand the need for software to pay its way, for devs to get paid especially. But it's still jarring when an app you've used for years gets sold and suddenly pivots to adware, gives you the shitty untick-one-billion-boxes style of consent screen, and tries to extort you vs that with a "premium" version.

Anyway, anyone got recommendations for alternative #Android desktop manager / "launcher" apps? I cannot remember why I originally went with #NovaLauncher, too long ago, but I expect it was better than the default way on Samsung flavoured Android at the time. I'll probably just try the defaults on both my Samsung and BlackView phones for a while now anyway.

@yvan I just swapped to play.google.com/store/apps/det

Imports (and has a fair stab at replicating) Nova's setting backup, and very reasonably priced.

Not FOSS, but turn's out Nova's vaunted FOSS-on-shutdown promise wasn't worth anything either.
