A bit stiffer than I expected. I suspect with a knob it will be fine.

8 way, i.e. diagonal activates two of the 4 direction outputs. And a push-in. The push-in is nice - other switches I have used make it hard to do that without also triggering a direction - this is much nicer, and very tactile.

Oddly the push output is active for all directions and push-in, i.e. a simple push-in is push output and none of the 4 directions.

Over $2, but may be worth trying on a design.
