Yikes, normalcy bias kicking in here (i.e. the human belief that "everything is normal" even as stuff is going south). #disasters

Hmm, looks like they can tell your time of death by drowning when your watch stops, if you're wearing one.
IMHO, this is 100% a "we don't need to worry about floods, because there's never been a flood here, the cabins are safe" problem, so they did not think through procedures and watching out for a disaster. So, their response was all in the moment with no planning or foresight, and therefore all the mistakes were made. #disasters #CampMystic

@Ashmire Yep... in a flood plain, and FEMA said so, and they kept the cabins in there anyway, and went to extensive efforts to make sure they could.
