Truly weird weather today in Ottawa; heavy mixed precipitation with thunder - wet graupel, freezing rain, creating a bumpy slush layer on everything, associated with a vigourous frontal boundary causing intense storms in the American midwest.
So far power holding steady. Branches starting to accumulate ice but power lines still look good. Three hours until anticipated change to rain. Mild tomorrow so it will all vanish. But it's a peculiar phase of water.
