Ok, here's a third #introduction because I'm about to follow some people who will otherwise have no idea why.
I have a PhD in #AppliedMath. My research was in mathematical models of infectious disease transmission. It's been a weird couple of years with everyone knowing something about my research just as I was settling into a non #academic job.
My current employer calls me an #economist, but mostly I do a lot of #statistics.
@Rivikah you still got a front row seat to a very important event in modern history. You’ve got a unique perspective on what happened and that can be very valuable.
Surreal yet useful.

My employer was not hiring me in that capacity, so I was mostly just watching people in my former career try to do things way faster than they can really be done well and trying to decide if I felt left out or grateful to avoid the stress.
It was surreal.
