If you don't already know us, we're Colin, Shaun, and Otis, better known as #FoxesAfloat, and this is our #Introduction to #Mastodon.
We have a #YouTube channel where we explored the canals and rivers of the UK by #narrowboat before moving to #Scotland to take in the mountains and islands of the #Highlands.

@foxesafloat @Steaphan there are several good guides to walk you through the process…I would give it a while to settle down as things are crazy now. So many coming over from the Space Karen’s site it’s really maxing out the servers xxx
@foxesafloat if you choose at some point in the future you can move your data to another server/instance. You can also create a new account with the same name on another server--that could get very confusing! Of course, since your train barn is in need of repurposing, you could even spin up your own instance/server in the barn and tell Shaun he needs to keep it running. That would make a great vlog.
@foxesafloat @Steaphan the servers are massively busy right now…over 20,000 of us on the Scot instance now. Worth persevering
