Never really got going with twitter, so let's see how things go here. Twitter is in major trouble. Maybe they'll pull through, but with the management style demonstrated to date, I'm hoping that does not pay off. Obviously for the workers, I hope it's ok, especially H1B visa holders who get a pretty raw deal. Abusing your workers publicly, showing a complete lack of respect, changing life impacting employment policies on a whim and expecting employees to flog themselves working way over contracted hours for no more pay is something I hope the universe doesn't reward.
@skanman I've put on the effort way over and above for employers many times. But they don't own you. And they should respect you.
He's effectively telling, not asking, his employees to take a pay cut if you calculate what they get paid per hour, or else you're fired.
Not cool.
Maybe a Eurocentric view but if an employer does that to me, they had better come with a carrot, not a stick. I'll volunteer for it if I believe in it. But if my contract is 40 hrs a week, anything an employer gets for free above that is a bonus I'm giving to them and it had better be recognised as such.
