yeh, Afrikaner people (descendants of the French-Dutch settlers from way back, of which I am one) in SA all take for-fucking-ever to say goodbye,
They do it exactly like your image described .... lol

@freemo well then, there is only one solution - you must come here and meet some Afrikaans folks. They're kinda hard to find nowadays, our culture is being quietly exterminated (sorry about the bad vibes there, just stating a fact), but there are still some around ....
