@OutOnTheMoors My issue with antifa is 1) they express facism by only permitting speech that aligns with their own ideals 2) their excessive use of violence in order to enforce their opinions.
I've seen far too many older folks assaulted by antifa supporters to support their approach to solving problems.
@OutOnTheMoors So if the nazis said they were anti-racism, then they go ahead and kill off all the Jews, it would be silly of me to call them racists?
Just because they claim to be antifascist doesnt garuntee that their actions arent fascist.
@freemo Nazis don't claim to be anti-racist, do they?
@OutOnTheMoors Thus the critical word "if".
@OutOnTheMoors I have not made any claims that would be considered libel by any court in the world.
@freemo How many old people have you actually seen assaulted by Antifa supporters? I do hope you have police case numbers to back up your claims.
@OutOnTheMoors In person? 4, On videos from scenes of antifa violence I didnt personally attend, many more.
Why would I personally hold onto case numbers? I give a statement if the police want it and move on. They didnt physically attack me personally as I wasnt wearing any clothing that would indicate i was a trump supporter (usually the people they target).
@freemo Do you regularly attend Trump rallies that you have witnessed so many? Personally, I always keep track of and follow up on incidents of violence I witness.
@OutOnTheMoors No, But I did regularly attend gatherings where Antifa planned to be. I wanted to evaluate Antifa for myself rather than be suckered in by the fear/hype that the media presented. Except in this case the media's depiction of them as violent was accurate.
@freemo Antifa, is anti-fascist. It says so on the box. Calling your opponents what they are expressly against is scurrilous and suggests you are desperate to defend tyranny - even at the risk of making ludicrous arguments.
Slander and libel, remember, are common-law offences that predate the US Constitution and all of its amendments.
