Oh, I dont not thing that far actually. I honestly thought that keybase required a private key lol. I am pretty sure that it was a requirement before - or am I wrong?

@admin @mrtn@social.linux.pizza @thomasfuchs I signed up on day one. It was never a requirement it was always optional.

If you provide the private key then you can use the web interface to do everything. If you keep the private key to yourself then certain actions require you to use the command line tool or a manual command to execute the action.

This was always the case from initial release onward.
