@phyu Do you have any examples of the most beautiful typesetting for your language youve seen (caligraphy too maybe)... I have been entranced by your language since you posted it. It looks so alien and beautiful that I would love to see more of it.

@freemo well, calligraphy isn’t popular in Myanmar.Maybe if you want to see a very large number of Burmese text, you can go to Burmese versions of news sites like burma.irrawaddy.com, myanmar.mmtimes.com or frontiermyanmar.com/mm Burmese text posted by users on internet mostly show question mark boxes because they aren’t using standard unicode font but a font called Zawgyi which doesn’t properly render(what I posted earlier on mastodon are with unicode and the news sites’re viewable either way

@phyu I just wanted to see the most beautiful example of the language being written in whatever form that may take.

@freemo it’s harder to find than I thought. 😅 Maybe something like this? The donation blackboards are particularly written more cursively and with longer tail to attract people who’ll donate so farm6.static.flickr.com/5546/9 The text will normally look like this “အလှုခံဌာန”
